The Rotary Club of Keilor is a proud supporter of Hand Brake Turn, an organisation who helps turn around the lives of disadvantaged young people. Hand Brake Turn provides hand’s on training in automotive skills for young people aged 15 to 19 who have difficulty within the mainstream education system.

  • THE program is now for six months
  • It is Certificate II AUR20912 in Automotive Body Repair Technology

At a recent graduation ceremony the Rotary Club of Keilor handed over a cheque to Hand Brake Turn using a part of the funds raised at the recent Keilor Rotary Club Car Show.  Our club also supports HBT by sending them old cars for students to restore for sale or to use during their training.

Rotary Club of Keilor continues to support Hand Brake Turn


Hand Brake Turn a project of Concern Australia has reopened in Scotland St. Sunshine. On Thursday 30th August the initial three students graduated from the 7 weeks course. The Rotary Club of Keilor is again supporting Hand Brake Turn by donating equipment to be used by students as part of their training.

Well done to the students who graduated. The students were presented with a voucher to purchae tools to help them in thier employment by the WPC group who will also help the students find employment.

Rotary Purchases Car Detailing Equipment

The Rotary Club of Keilor with the support of Bunnings Watergardens provided Hand Brake Turn with Car Detailing equipment valued at over $1,000 to help the students with their training.
