Inside Strory 2017 will be a major community event and fundraiser conducted in conjunction with the Westgate Branch of the VicPol Blue Ribbon Foundation - and with keynote speakers Superintendent Lisa Hardeman, Divisional Commander Brimbank Division, Victoria Police and Detective Senior Sergeant Bob Heaney, Armed Crime Squad, Vctoria Police.
Bob is the current Detective Senior Sergeant in charge of the elite Armed Crime Squad. A Western suburbs boy who started his career at Williamstown and Sunshine in uniform before progressing to the Crime Investigation Unit at an early stage, forming part of the inaugural armed robbery taskforce in the Western suburbs in the year 2000. Bob has coached football at high levels and now manages highly complicated investigations against those committed to violent and organised offending across Victoria. Bob will give an insight into the intricacies of modern day violent and organised offending, and the investigations of such crime.
This is a very timely opportunity for the local community to hear directly from those at the front line of policing - at a time when youth and violent crime are at the forefront of our daily news.
